Tuesday 17 June 2025 Importance of Reading At Worlebury St Paul's we believe learning to read is one of the most important skills a child can learn. We strive to ensure every child has the skills needed to become a confident reader and develop a love of reading that will carry them through their life of learning. You, as parents, play an important part in this by encouraging your child to read and developing a daily routine of reading together. Research shows that learning to read is directly linked to children's success at school and beyond. It also shows that those who read regularly and for longer dramatically increase the number of words they are introduced to. This in turn impacts on their success across the whole curriculum.

Monday 12 May 2025 150th Birthday Our school will be celebrating it's 150th birthday this year and we are planning some celebrations. We have invited Bishop Michael to attend our special birthday family worship on the 26th June and the PTA will be commissioning local artist, Martin D'Arcy, to create a 150th birthday mural on the wall outside the Year 5/6 classroom. Next week, children will bring home a design sheet and we invite all our families to contribute to the design of our mural. Martin D'Arcy will then take designs from each class to help him put together an awe inspiring mural! During the week of the 23rd June, we will invite previous members of the Worlebury St Paul's community to come along to an afternoon tea to share memories. If you have a family member / friend who attended Worlebury St Pauls as a child, please can you let the office know.
