Year three is the first year of Key Stage Two. In our year three class, we use cross-curricular projects in which subjects overlap to reinforce and compliment each other. Each project is planned carefully to meet the needs and capabilities of the child. We aim to develop the knowledge, concepts, skills and attitudes necessary for your child's whole development. We embrace 'Learning Without Limits' where children are not put into boxes but are given the space to grow and to surprise themselves (and us) about what they can achieve. |

Pirate WOW Day 22nd January
We were lucky enough to have Captain Barnacles come and talk to us about life on the Seven Seas.
The children had the opportunity to watch a live sword fight between the Captain and Mr Mackie and handle replica weapons and food.
Drama Workshop
The children today had the opportunity to take part in a drama workshop with a local theatre group and went on an adventure under the sea.
Terms 1 & 2: Desert Explorers
Welcome to a brand new school year! We are really looking forward to welcoming everyone back to school and can't wait to see you all! We have lots to look forward to during the coming year - starting with our induction week where we will create our class charter and be able to get to know each other as a new class community!
This term our learning project is called 'Desert Explorers'. During this project we will be comparing life in hot (Africa) and cold (Antarctica) places, exploring plants and what they need to grow and be healthy and experiencing music and art from the African culture. Our WOW day will be on Wednesday 25th September (more information to follow)

African WOW Day
Our young learners have recently had an enriching experience that we are eager to share.
The children enjoyed an amazing African WOW day. They were immersed in the vibrant cultures of the African continent and had the opportunity to learn about its diverse wildlife, traditions, and people. The day was filled with hands-on activities, storytelling, music, and dance, all designed to enhance their understanding and appreciation of African cultures. The children's enthusiasm and curiosity were truly inspiring. We believe such experiences are invaluable in widening their horizons and nurturing a global perspective. We look forward to more exciting learning adventures in the coming days.
Nativity
What an amazing performance! The children worked incredibly hard to perform their 'Don't be Afraid' Nativity Story. They sang beautifully and learnt their lines superbly. Well done all!!
